And finally....here they are!

Pictures of our new place! There are a lot of pictures, so prepare for a long post. Now that we finally have a place of our own, everyone needs to come visit! We love our neighborhood; everyone is SO nice. It's such a change from our previous ghetto apartment.
Here is a picture of the front of our house. I love the red door!
This is our kitchen and dining room. There's stuff on the counter because we were making homemade rolls! We finally have room to cook stuff! Hooray!
Here is an aerial view of our front room. I love the big windows!! They are huge and let in so much natural light. We never use lights during the day. It's awesome!
Here is a different view of our front room. You can see the stairs that lead up to the kitchen area. The floor plan is really open.
Here is the master bedroom. It is a lot bigger than our previous places. It's also got a beautiful bay window. It's a pretty spacious room and I love it.
This is the main bathroom. That's about it?
This is the master bath. And that's about it?
This is our backyard during an awesome rain storm. You can see the mountains in the background. I love being able to see the mountains from my kitchen window.
This is one of the guest bedrooms that hasn't even remotely been decorated. But you get the idea! Come visit!

Valentine's Day!

Back again...two posts in one week! I'm not sure you can handle it...

We had a great Valentine's Day weekend. On Saturday we were able to attend the Draper Temple Open House with Jason's parents and his brother Tyson. It is such a pretty temple! The Celestial Room was amazing--pictures don't do this room justice. I loved how open and bright this temple is. They've done a great job of utilizing natural light. It is very pretty. If you get a chance to make it to the open house, you should definitely go. It's always wonderful to see the inside of the Lord's House before it is dedicated. Here are some pictures:

This is a picture of the Celestial room--it's over three stories tall! The Chandelier is huge and gorgeous!!

The paintings inside the rooms are amazing. I haven't seen paintings as beautiful as those before. It makes me wish that I was an artist!

After we left the temple, Jason and I headed straight to dinner at a restaurant downtown called Martine's. They have the best food, but I can't even describe what "genre" of food it is. It's good...let's just stick with that. I never know what I'm going to get when I order the food because I can't even pronounce all the words in the name, but I haven't been let down yet! It was so nice to have a romantic dinner at a quiet restaurant and just be together. I have the best husband!

I hope everyone out there also had a great Valentine's Day!

February Already?

So a lot has happened since we last posted, but apparently we still suck at updating so we didn't post it! Christmas came and went, and we had a lot of fun spending time with the family. We spent Christmas Day with Jason's family down in SLC and enjoyed spending time with his brothers and sister and his nephew. It was nice to see everyone that we don't get to be around that often. The day after Christmas we braved the snowy roads and drove up to Idaho to spend time with my family in Rexburg. I prepared the turkey dinner for the family, and everyone brought something to eat with them. I love having my family together for the holidays. I really enjoyed the time spent up there. We busted out Guitar Hero: World Tour and had everybody (including my not so techno-savvy father) playing. It was a good time. It snowed a lot over the break! Here's a picture of my family together in West Jordan:I'm not exactly sure what Brandon is doing with the handmade ornaments, but he seems pretty happy about them. ha ha! I realize Shantel and Greg aren't in this picture, but they weren't there when we were taking these. They were here for this picture though!
And finally, a picture from our trip to Rexburg. The best thing about the holidays is getting to spend so much time with family (well, as long as you like your family like I do!):I like this picture because it shows a lot of Tyler's personality. What a punk! :)

After the holidays we settled back into our regular routine. We spent New Years at the Dallings which was very fun (and involved Rock Band...gotta love it!). Nothing too exciting happened until the end of January, when we finally moved into our NEW HOUSE! HOORAY!!

So I only have a picture of the front of the house because we are still unpacking (and I stole the pic from the MLS website...), but we finally have the main rooms moved in so I should be able to update with pics shortly. Thank you so much to all the family and friends who helped us move; it went by so quickly! We are super excited to finally have a home in a safer neighborhood where we can feel comfortable. Our ward is awesome, and all the neighbors have been really welcoming. I actually won't be afraid to ask our neighbors to borrow a cup of sugar! Anyway, that's the majority of what is happening in our life. I'm ready for winter to be over, even though it has made for some beautiful pictures. I just love the warmth and not having to worry about bad drivers sliding into me on the road! :)
